CPT Operator Full Time

1.CTP Machine Operation
•Operate the Computer-to-Plate (CTP) machine for both offset and web offset printing
processes.
•Ensure accurate calibration and setup of the machine according to specific printing
requirements.
2.File Preparation and Management
•Receive print-ready files from the Typesetting Department and verify compatibility with
CTP
systems.
•Conduct preflight checks to ensure files meet required standards (e.g., resolution, fonts,
color settings).
3.Plate Production
•Produce high-quality printing plates, ensuring proper alignment, exposure, and output for
both offset and web offset printing jobs.
4.Quality Control
Inspect plates for defects, scratches, or misalignment, ensuring they meet job specifications.
Check plates for appropriate binding and printing marks to ensure alignment with
job requirements.
Verify that printing marks are compatible with numbering requirements for web offset machines.
5.Sheet-Fed Offset Support
•Handle plate-making requirements for sheet-fed offset presses, ensuring precise
registration and high-quality output for smaller, detail-intensive jobs.
6.Material Handling for Offset
•Manage the stock of plates, chemicals, and related consumables specifically for sheet-fed
offset
operations.

7.Web Offset Plate Production
•Prepare plates for high-speed, continuous-feed web offset presses, focusing on long-run
print
jobs.
•Ensure plates include accurate printing marks for numbering and compatibility with web
offset
machines.

8.Synchronization with Web Press
•Coordinate with web press operators to ensure plates align seamlessly with the roll-fed
paper and meet printing requirements.
9.Routine Maintenance
•Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the CTP machine to ensure optimal
performance for both offset and web offset processes.
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
10.Image Removal and Plate Cleaning
•After printing, place plates in the image removal machine to clean off residual images.
•Ensure plates are clear of images before scrapping, in compliance with recycling
and environmental standards.
11.Inventory Management
•Monitor and manage the inventory of plates, chemicals, and consumables for both offset
and web offset requirements.
12.Team Coordination
•Collaborate with the Typesetting Department to address any issues with print-ready files
and ensure a smooth workflow.
•Coordinate with the printing and binding teams to ensure plates meet all production
requirements.
13.Safety and Compliance
•Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while operating CTP machines
and handling chemicals.
