1. Supplier Quality Management
Ensure supplier and sub-contractor evaluation and re-evaluation as per defined plans
Lead supplier selection, development, and technical coordination
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
Ensure timely submission of PPAP and related documentation
Oversee supplier process validation, trials, and approvals
2. Quality Systems & Compliance
Develop, implement, and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Prepare, review, and update Quality Manuals, Procedures, and system documents
Ensure effective document control, revision management, and obsolescence control
Maintain quality records with proper identification, indexing, retention, and traceability
Liaise with external agencies for ISO / IATF 16949 certification and audits
3. Internal Audits & Management Review
Plan and conduct internal audits; identify non-conformities and ensure closure
Drive and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Conduct Management Review Meetings (MRM) and report QMS performance to top management
4. Customer Quality & Compliance
Handle customer complaints using structured methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis)
Promote awareness of customer requirements and scorecards across the organization
Lead customer audits, self-assessments, and approvals
Manage submission of required documents (SPC, Layout Inspection, Traceability, Tool Life, IMDS, 8D reports, etc.)
Track customer deviations, approvals, and ensure timely closure
5. Process Quality & Operations Support
Ensure quality control across all stages of production
Coordinate approvals with HOQA and cross-functional teams
Drive implementation and adherence to MOP (Method of Procedure)
Utilize ERP/SAP/Excel systems for quality tracking, reporting, and analysis
6. Press Tool & Sheet Metal Quality
Ensure quality assurance for press tools, dies, and sheet metal components
Monitor tool development, trials, validation, and first-off approvals
Analyze and control tool wear, tool life, and preventive maintenance systems
Ensure process capability in blanking, bending, forming, and deep drawing operations
Drive improvements in tool design feedback, rejection reduction, and productivity
Lead root cause analysis of defects such as burrs, cracks, springback, thinning, and dimensional variations
Coordinate closely with tooling, production, and maintenance teams
7. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team
Conduct regular reviews, daily discussions, and performance tracking
Build a culture of quality ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
8. Continuous Improvement & Reporting
Analyze customer feedback and internal quality metrics
Drive initiatives for defect reduction, process optimization, and cost improvement
Ensure timely reporting of quality KPIs and dashboards to management
Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals
