Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Stores Management
Monitor Raw material inventory levels at main warehouse and godowns to ensure inventories are maintained as per company policies.
Ensure goods received are properly receipted at the gate and details furnished to purchase department every day to ensure timely and accurate accounting of GRN
Handle issues of all raw materials from warehouse to stores and to production shop floor (materials issued for operations – TS/CTP/press /binding departments)
Handle material return entries from press to godown (in case of excess material per project/job) and company to vendor (in case of defective material)
Ensure materials are arranged category wise, age wise in the warehouse, godown, stores and shop floor – to ensure stock quality is maintained well for use.
Ensure quality department has signed off on quality of goods received and if any rejections are raised within the stipulated timelines agreed with suppliers.
Prepare delivery challan, generate e-way bill and verify gate pass for all kinds of movement of goods. Pass stock transfer journals in Zoho books
Be the primary accountable person for stock management and be part of physical stock verification as the main stores spoc, along with other representatives from Quality/audit departments .
Ensure end to end compliance with accounting SOP with respect to store management
Reporting and Analysis
Generate monthly physical stock report
Track damaged and aged inventory on a monthly basis.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure adherence to accounting SOP, general accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Assist in internal and external audits during physical stock verifications
Identify and report potential risks to stacking and suggest corrective actions.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with other departments (purchase, shop floor, godown, security) to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management
Communicate effectively with managers, co-staff and vendors as required.
Additional Duties (if applicable)
Participate in ad-hoc projects as required by the department or organization.
Contribute to process improvements and recommend as applicable.
