Infosys Launches ‘Restart With Infosys’ to Support Women Returning to Work
Infosys has introduced a new referral programme, Restart With Infosys, aimed at helping women professionals re-enter the workforce after career breaks. Announced to employees through an internal email, the initiative offers referral bonuses of up to ₹50,000 for successful hires.
Eligible candidates must have at least two years of prior professional experience and a career gap of six months or more. Alongside job opportunities, the programme provides structured mentorship, skill-building, and support to help women regain confidence as they transition back into work.
The initiative is closely tied to Infosys’ ESG Vision 2030, which targets 45% female representation in its workforce by the end of the decade. Currently, women account for about 39% of Infosys’ 3.23 lakh employees.
As part of the referral structure, employees will earn ₹10,000 for junior-level hires, rising to ₹50,000 for senior-level hires. Open roles span across developers, technology leads, and managerial positions.
Infosys has already seen progress: in FY24–25, the company hired nearly 900 women in mid-management roles, up from around 500 the previous year. Company leaders describe the effort as both a move to bridge gender gaps in technology and an investment in building a stronger, more diverse talent pool.
By combining financial incentives for employees with structured support for returnees, Infosys hopes to boost women’s workforce participation and set an example for the broader industry.
