New Product Development & Industrial Engineering
• Lead Product development of new products and enhance existing products APQP and ECN.
• Manage the complete industrialization and Start of Production (SOP).
• Can read 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Engineering Change documents. Master IATF requirements, Core tools, FMEA, SPC etc.
• Drive product cost optimization, value engineering, and product localization initiatives.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams for new product introduction and technical support.
Development
• Feasibility study, APQP entire process, PPAP, Process Design & Validation, Layout and Lean concept.
• Support product VAVE and continuous product improvement programs.
• In depth knowledge of technical standards, GD&T, Standard metallurgy.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Project Management
• Lead cross-functional projects from concept through SOP.
• Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Global Engineering teams.
• Track project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Ensure successful and timely transition from development to serial production.
Manufacturing Engineering
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Support new product launches and manufacturing readiness.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for product and process issues.
• Support process standardization and manufacturing documentation.
Engineering Analysis
• Perform and support Structural Analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for product validation and optimization.
• Evaluate product strength, durability, and performance through engineering simulations.
• Work closely with testing and validation teams to ensure robust product design.
Technical Skills & Competencies
• Strong experience in Product Design & Development & Industrial Engineering.
• Proven expertise in managing projects from concept design through validation, industrialization, and SOP.
• Reading ability of technical drawings, test results like 3D models in Structural Analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Knowledge of Creo other CAD software is an added advantage.
• Thorough understanding of international and national technical standards applicable to automotive and heavy engineering products.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Limits & Fits, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Design Reviews, Engineering Change Management, and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
